Cancellation
A 24 hour notice is required for all lesson cancellations or the full lesson charge will apply. If at least a 24 hour notice is given, students will be given a makeup lesson to use at a later date. There are no refunds for missed lessons.
Scheduling
Lessons are scheduled on either an "as needed" basis with flexible scheduling, or a set weekly schedule. As I do not have a separate waiting area in my home, please do not arrive earlier than your lesson time so that you avoid interrupting someone else's lesson. If you are a parent or sibling picking up a student, please be on time for the same reason.
Parent lesson observation
Unless there is a specific reason, I ask that parents not regularly observe lessons. As mentioned, there is no separate waiting area, and having a parent or siblings watching their lessons often causes students to become distracted in their focus and more vocally inhibited. If you have questions about student progress or what is covered during lessons, please feel free to contact me.
*Just a note that my household includes 3 friendly cats. They generally keep to themselves, but sometimes pop out to say "hi" to my students. If you are allergic or uncomfortable with cats, please let me know and I will lock them upstairs during lesson time.
