Lesson Scheduling
Students are given a weekly time slot for their lesson. This time slot does not change throughout the year unless there is a student schedule conflict. It is the responsibility of the student to remember to come to their lesson each week. I do not come and retrieve missing students from choir. This is out of respect for my time as a teacher, and also to encourage student responsibility.
Whenever possible, voice lessons are scheduled during the first or second half of your students' choir hour or sometimes during study hall, if it is available in the student's schedule. The choir directors are more than happy to have students miss part of choir for their lesson, as students who study voice become stronger contributors to the choral sound.
Please note that because of the large number of students in Concert Choir (5th hour) who study privately, there is a 3rd "lunch lesson" slot offered as well. Students assigned to this slot do not miss lunch for the day, rather they eat their lunch during the 2nd half of choir (Mr. Albaugh has given his permission for this) and come to their lesson at 12:05, their normal lunch period.
